Sensory Ethnography of Yuegang Town (1620-1900) --- 2023
Collaborative research with the Department of Anthropology, Xiamen University. Reconstructed the invisible “sensory landscape” of the historical port through a non-linear analysis of maritime archives and piratical folklore.
Deciphered how early Christianity and trade networks functioned as sensory technologies, altering the auditory and visual perception of the coastal environment.
A Socio-Cultural Study of Human–Marine Species Contact | Xiamen University --- 2023/2024
Collaborated with the School of Life Sciences and the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, Xiamen University, to conduct interdisciplinary bio-sampling and sensory analysis of marine specimens. Analyzed the oyster as a “biological sensor” and calcium- based mediator, treating its shell as a living archive that encodes the metabolic friction between maritime social structures and marine ecology.

Orchestrated an open-ended, ludic framework (game-based exploration) deconstructing the rigid “programs” of urbanized coastal space.
